How to add a touch of Spring to a small entryway
Hello! I am very excited over here today for many reasons. 1. It hit 50 degrees here in my neck of the woods - a huge deal for March in Michigan. 2. I am sharing the small entryway at the Airbnb all prettied up for Spring. 3. I am participating in a blog hop Celebrating Spring hosted by my sweet friend Leen @ Sand Dollar Lane along with some amazing blogging friends. There is so much Springtime Inspiration…..seriously. So. So. Much.
If you are visiting today from KariAnne’s @Thistlewood Farms, a warm welcome to each of you, I could fangirl for hours over KairAnne and her beautiful home, but you were just there, so you know about all the Spring gorgeousness!
Now let's get this party started! Today, I am sharing our Spring entryway at the Airbnb. It’s small, but I really wanted the first impression to feel cozy and comfortable while at the same time celebrating Spring from the moment you first walk in the door.
I have to admit I like to keep my seasonal decor simple for the most part. My motto is to add a bit of color, something live (plants or flowers), and something scented!
Because the front door opens with this Penny tile greeting, I have to be careful, or the space could get really busy fast!
I started by switching out a few of the art pieces on the wall and added some prints with pretty pops of color and patterns. I was really keeping it simple this year and bought the same size prints and literally just swapped out the art! The “HI” piece stays up all year.
I looooove fresh flowers. They, along with living plants, are my love language. I buy most of my flowers from the grocery store so that helps keep my budget in check. This week I found Tulips and they are my very favorites and the perfect touch for Spring.
I also switched out the books to those with colorful covers. Since I offer a large selection of books to read at the Airbnb, it was easy to pull out a few prettier ones. My favorite addition to the entry table is the pretty pussy willow plant.
I wish you could smell the candle I added! It’s Lavender Vanilla and smells fresh and clean.
A quick tip on adding a little more Spring… The plant came in one of those orange plastic pots. I hot glued some moss on the pot, and it’s so much cuter!
This view shows how small this entryway really and how I kept the theme of pops of pretty color, flowers, and plants moving into the room.
That’s it for my small entryway, simple but definitely feeling Spring vibes over here now. Next on the hop is my sweet friend Jen @ Noting Grace, and she is sharing how to style a Spring garland three ways. It’s not to be missed. Check out my friends below for even more inspiration. There is something new every day this week!
