Blood Orange White Wine Sangria
I have the most delicious summer White Sangria recipe to share with you today. Although this recipe uses white wine (which is my favorite), the addition of bourbon and cinnamon puts a warm, sultry spin on this sangria that seems perfect for warm summer nights.
I love a recipe that is easy to make and this one is definitely easy! I’ve used an inexpensive wine (under $10.00) in this Sangria because…well it’s Sangria!!! Blood oranges are the star here but I have tried this with oranges and they make a lovely sangria also.
Ingredients:
2 (750) bottles of white wine (I used a Sauvignon Blanc but a Pinot Gris, what be great too).
2 cups blood orange juice- 8 oranges
2 cups pomegranate juice
1 cup of Bourbon
1 cup of Triple sec
3 whole cinnamon sticks
2 large sprigs of fresh rosemary
2 blood oranges
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a large pitcher, and stir well.
Taste! If the recipe is too tart, you can add simple syrup to add sweetness.
Let set for approximately 2 hours (the longer, the better), allowing the flavors to meld together.
Serve over ice. Garnish with Blood Oranges and Rosemary Sprigs.
This recipe makes 6-8 yummy servings.
Let me know what you think of this recipe! It’s one of my favorites.
Until Next Time,
-Libbie
